In October 2021, I made a decision that significantly altered my trajectory: I left my role in a GMP environment, relocated across the country, and accepted a position as a retail sales associate at Big Sky Resort. This unexpected shift was prompted by the realization that unresolved aspects of my past had begun to surface and could no longer be ignored.
My time in Big Sky, Montana, became a season of reflection, self-discovery, and healing. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the region, I found the courage to confront and process the challenges that had weighed on me. Whether carving through the pristine slopes, snowshoeing across untouched meadows, or running along icy trails, I discovered parts of myself I had not previously known. It was in this serene yet challenging environment that I began to break free from the constraints of my past and lay the foundation for a stronger, more grounded version of myself.
The fear of wasting precious time was a key motivator for this life-changing decision. I wanted to ensure that when I looked back on my twenties, it would be with a sense of accomplishment rather than regret over missed opportunities. This period of intentional growth and self-renewal allowed me to dismantle old fears and establish a new foundation, one I am proud to build upon.
After my time in Big Sky, I returned to the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry with a renewed sense of purpose. I approach my work with deep gratitude, knowing that each day I contribute to advancements that positively impact others' lives. This sense of purpose drives me and reinforces my commitment to living and working with intention and meaning.
Long Term Goals
A long-term aspiration of mine is to leverage my perspectives, traits, and strengths to maximize the value I derive from life while contributing meaningfully to those around me. Whether advancing my background in chemistry, furthering medical research, or exploring a new professional path, my ultimate goal is to make a positive impact.
This vision extends to diverse avenues, from serving in underprivileged regions abroad to conducting research in medical or chemical fields that drive societal progress. I am particularly passionate about the intersection of oncology and neurology research, with a specific interest in the emerging field of liposomal drug formulations targeting neurological disorders. This exciting frontier represents a critical opportunity to improve lives and advance medical science.
Beyond my professional goals, I am equally committed to pursuing personal challenges that push my boundaries and expand my horizons. Deisring to complete the following acomlishments, ranging from summiting Mount Everest, free diving in Alaska, and running the UTMB, to skydiving in Dubai, traversing New Zealand, completing an Ironman, backcountry skiing in the Alps, and base jumping in Norway, I am driven by a desire to achieve the extraordinary.
The passion and determination I bring to my career are mirrored in my personal pursuits. Whether training for an endurance race, planning a road trip, or exploring the natural wonders of our planet, I am constantly seeking the next adventure or goal to tackle. This relentless pursuit of growth and discovery defines both my professional and personal life.
